Biography

The biography below has been approved for use and distribution.

A lifelong resident of Illinois, Jeff Weber went to Northern Illinois University and received an undergraduate degree in business.  Upon graduation in 1988 Weber immediately went to work for an upstart entrepreneurial firm called Enterprise Rental Car, which has gone on to amass the largest rental fleet in the world.  Leaving Enterprise Rental, Weber went on to work at the home office of Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, Illinois.

While at Allstate Weber earned his MBA from Loyola University of Chicago and eventually went to work for a small textile manufacturer in Chicago.  Weber learned a number of lessons from this entrepreneurial bootstrap firm, foremost was the impatient learning curve of its founder and Weber was out after a brief tenure.  Eventually, Weber was introduced to Educational Resources, a fast growing technology firm at the infancy of the technology revolution of the 90’s.  Having found his niche, Weber excelled at this entrepreneurial success story. Innovation and creativity were the prerequisites for success and Weber had his share of novel introductions which impact the company to this day.

The spark for Weber’s own company, Technology Resource Center Inc. (TRC) was born while working at Educational Resources and he launched his company in 1995 at the start of the dot com era. TRC grew rapidly earning a rank on the INC Magazine Top 500 Fastest Growing Private US Companies list in 2001 and 2002. He successfully positioned and sold TRC to a prominent Fortune 500 in 2006.

Weber incorporates his entrepreneurial knowledge and proprietary methodologies into his first book on the topic, I.D.E.A. to Exit: An Entrepreneurial Journey.  He is an adjunct faculty teaching entrepreneurism at the college level, a speaker, and a coach for startups, existing small/medium size businesses, and corporations wishing to innovate and establish an entrepreneurial spirit.

Staying active in entrepreneurial circles and networks, Weber is always looking to start or get involved with something new and exciting.  His goal is to live an extraordinary life and he enjoys helping others do the same.
